We were delighted and honoured to formally celebrate the launch of ๐๐ฆ๐ค๐ฐ๐ฎ๐ช๐ฏ๐จ ๐ข ๐๐ญ๐ช๐ฎ๐ข๐ต๐ฆ ๐๐ฐ๐ฏ๐ด๐ค๐ช๐ฐ๐ถ๐ด ๐๐ข๐ธ๐บ๐ฆ๐ณ: ๐๐ญ๐ช๐ฎ๐ข๐ต๐ฆ ๐๐ฉ๐ข๐ฏ๐จ๐ฆ ๐ข๐ฏ๐ฅ ๐ต๐ฉ๐ฆ ๐๐ถ๐ด๐ต๐ณ๐ข๐ญ๐ช๐ข๐ฏ ๐๐ฆ๐จ๐ข๐ญ ๐๐บ๐ด๐ต๐ฆ๐ฎ on Monday 2 February 2026.
When we embarked on this project in early 2023 we never could have imagined how big it would become – the book has expanded well beyond what we initially envisioned and now has 28 peer-reviewed chapters covering every core curriculum subject and many elective offerings delivered in professionally accredited law degrees. It has already had over 28,000 views, showing the transformative impact it is already having to drive climate mainstreaming in Australian legal education.
This project has only been possible because of the incredible commitment, expertise, passion and energy that each of the the contributing authors have brought to it. We are so grateful to each of the almost 50 authors who have authored or co-authored chapters, from 15 Australian universities as well as members of the legal profession.
Additionally, this project never would have gotten off the ground and become what it was without the incredible support of the La Trobe eBureau. The eBureau is one of Australiaโs leading open educational resource publishers and are so delighted that the whole book is open access and free for anyone to read. In particular we want to extended our deepest gratitude to Steven Chang, Sebestian Kainey and Hugh Rundle.
We are honoured to have three inspiring speakers to help us launch the book:
โจ The Honourable Justice Richards, Supreme Court of Victoria
โจ Tomo Boston KC, G List Barriers, Chair CommBar Climate Change Committee
โจ Katrina Webster, Grants Program Lead, Victorian Legal Services Board and Commissioner
