The Becoming a Climate Conscious Lawyer Open Textbook Project team – Hugh Rundle, Dr Julia Dehm, Steven Chang, Heidi Butters-Stabb, Sebastian Kainey and Zoe Nay – was awarded a La Trobe University Vice-Chancellor’s Cultural Qualities Awards – Connected.
Citation: The team has collaborated across La Trobe and the broader national University sector throughout the project, leading to the publication of the licensed textbook Becoming a Climate Conscious Lawyer: Climate and the Australian Legal System. This project united 30 contributing authors from 12 law schools across Australia and, bridges a significant gap in legal education by embedding climate change considerations into the curriculum, responding to students’ demand for relevant and current content.
